Shirley Wells, 82, of Burleson Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by her children & grandchildren talking and praying with her on Sept 3, 2019. She was born July 28, 1937, to Gladys Freeman (Beeson) and Harry Requardt in Conroe Texas. She was pre-deceased by her two sisters, Dorothy (Carl) Hand, and June (Johnny) Dunlap. She lived on a farm helping with chores and still shared memories from her childhood. Her favorite one to tell was driving a truckload of feed home after school. She married Bill Wells at age 17 and moved to Cleveland. Later they moved to Lufkin and lived on a small horse ranch. She was a strong woman that enjoyed her coffee and cream all day long alternating with milk. She taught reading and did receive recognition for her accomplishment with students. Shirley Ann loved talking on the phone to family and friends and we will all miss those phone calls. Her life was centered around her home, family, and holidays.
Shirley is survived by her children Delinda Wells, Cleve (Jana) Wells, Harriett (Happy) Wells Modisette, and step daughter Amber (Mike) Eberle; grandchildren Presley, Rylee, Tyler, Jennifer (Jeremy), Kaci, Kyle, Shelley(Rich), Eric (Brandy); great grandchildren Kruz, Stone, Ethan, Max, Brenden, Cayde, Breck, Erica, and many other loved ones.
