Mrs. Shui Chun Chan was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven to be with our Lord on March 22, 2019. She was born on September 14, 1926 in Hoiping, China to Leung Min and Kaim Leu Fong. She was married to Chow How Chan. She was widowed at a young age and went on to successfully raise four children. She courageously immigrated to the United States in the 1960s where she helped raise several of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an exceptionally strong woman with a strong spirit and a giving heart. She touched many lives and will be missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Boch Lue, and sister, Rita Wong. She is survived by her sister, Shui Qiu Fong; children, Yee Chu Joe, Sing Wan Tam and husband Chi Keung Tam, Yu Po Lau and husband David Lau, and Chi Lun Chan and wife Cindy Chan; twelve grandchildren, Gene Joe, Kathy Dunham, Judy Barela, Eddy Joe, Nancy Sun, Jennifer Caceres, Ernest Tam, Kenneth Lau, Steven Lau, Tina Chan-Browne, Cassie Chan, and Alex Chan; eighteen great-grandchildren, Lisa Joe, Kristina and Krystal Lau, Ava and Joshua Barela, Megan and Sara Joe, Matthew, Olivia and Juliana Sun, Alicia and Joshua Caceres, Emma Grace and Lily Ana Tam, Ryan Lau, Elliott Lau, Connor and Logan Browne.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 5-8pm and a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 10am in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home,13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
