Silvano Richard Aranza

Silvano Richard Aranza, 78, of Houston, Texas entered into rest on July 21, 2020 in Houston, Texas. He was born in Houston, Texas on November 12, 1941 to parents Silvano Aranza and Angelina Zamora.

Silvano enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served his country. Later in life, he had a career in the United States Postal Service. Silvano had a passion for cooking, fishing, reading, but above all, his true passion was his family.

He is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Ann Aranza of Houston and Danielle Marie Aranza of Austin; 5 grandchildren Felicia Marie McRay, Ray Richard DelaRosa, Noah Gomez, Sierra Rain Gomez, and Earth Star Gomez, and one great granddaughter Mikyla McRay; three siblings, retired HPD Sgt. John Michael Aranza of Houston, Anthony Aranza of Los Cabos San Lucas, Mexico, and Lillian Sargent of Albuquerque, N.M. He is also survived by 100+ aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces, and by two ex-wives Phyllis Wunsche and Jennifer Aranza.

A two part visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038; visitation for the elderly will take place from 11:00am to 12:00pm, to follow, and a visitation for the public will take place from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm at American Heritage Funeral Home, with a committal service to take place at 3:15pm at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060.
