“Time is filled with swift transition . . .” – an only child, Siobhan was raised in a Christian home and educated in the public schools of Houston, Texas, graduating from Furr High School in 1975. Afterwards, she attended Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas and later worked for Shell Oil Company for 20 years. She ended her professional career after 17 years in Accounting for the ABM Industries. Siobhan met and married Acy Carr. He was a tremendous blessing in her life for 26 years. Together, they cherished and loved one son, Casey Alexander. Siobhan loved caring for her family and parents; enjoying dining experiences, as well as meeting and working with people in social and church activities. She developed relationships that she cherished throughout her life.
“Trust in Him who will not leave you, whatsoever years may bring . . .” – Siobhan accepted the message of salvation at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. A.A. McCardell Sr. She continued to cultivate her relationship with God at the Lyons Unity Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. O.C. Johnson, and later Dr. William Jordan. Siobhan was an avid Sunday school member who loved her church and was always supportive of the leadership.
“When your journey is completed, if to God you have been true, fair and bright the home in glory, your enraptured soul will view . . .” – God’s gift to us returned back to God on September 10, 2021, for all of heaven to love. Preceding her in eternal rest are her paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents.
Siobhan will be remembered for her unwavering faith in God, infectious laugh, dedication to family, her pristine housekeeping, and of course; affectionately remembered as “Chubby.”
As a loving and devoted wife and mother she leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Acy Carr; son, Casey Carr; stepson, Morgan Taylor; her parents, Jodie Lee and Dorothy Holcombe; brother-in law, Medgar Carr (Rhonda); sister-in-law, Alfredene Thomas Surgers; granddaughter, Zoey Taylor and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the Lyons Unity Church Family.
