Sofia S. Ramos, 97, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026. Sofia was born on September 18, 1928, in El Campo, Texas. In March of 1944, she married the love of her life, Francisco Ramos, in Rosenberg, Texas. Together, they built a family and shared many years of love, memories, and devotion.
Sofia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francisco Ramos, and her sons, Jose Ramos and Frank Ramos.
She leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her children, Janie R. Alvear, Ricardo Ramos, Helen R. Barrera, and Ventura Ramos; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 33 great-great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest legacy, and the love she shared with them will continue through the generations.
Sofia will be remembered and deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her faith was a testament to the strength of family, the importance of love, and the lasting impact one person can have across generations. “Si Dios Quiere” and “Primeramente Dios” are what she would always say.
Though she is no longer with us, her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and all those who loved her.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 2516 NAVIGATION BLVD, HOUSTON, TX 77003, US, on September 9, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm, followed by a Rosary Service at the same location on September 9, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
A Funeral Mass will take place at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7250 Harrisburg Blvd, Houston, TX 77011, on September 10, 2026, at 11:00 am, with a Committal Service to follow at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, US, on September 10, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
