Sofia M. Walker, born January 23, 1948, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 29, 2017. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Darren W. Kennerson. Sofia will be greatly missed by her husband of six years, Ron Walker Jr.; children: Joe Ontiveros and his wife Kimberly, Veronica Gallegos and husband Angelo; grandchildren: Xavier Melendez and wife Naomi, Cristian Melendez, Angelo J. Gallegos, Samantha Ontiveros, Nicholas Ontiveros; great grandchildren: Trae Kennerson, Darren J. Kennerson and Naylin Melendez; siblings, Richard D. Núñez and Rosa L. Segura; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00pm Friday, June 9, 2017 at Brookside Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 pm. Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Brookside Funeral Home with interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
