Solomon Ray Bailey, beloved son, loving brother, giving uncle and loyal friend was born March 9, 1948 in Rosenberg, Texas to his parents, Solomon J. and Lucy Frances Bailey. Ray lived a full life staying close to his family and friends. Ray loved driving and seeing all the wonders of the United States. As a Hot Shot delivery driver, he enjoyed his work doing what he loved. He continued to work until his health forced him to take a rest in September 2017.
Early Saturday morning, December 2, 2017, Ray went to be with his parents and loved ones in Heaven.
Visitation for Ray’s family and friends will be held Tuesday evening, December 5th from 6-8pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Rd., Houston, TX 77077. A service in remembrance of Ray’s life will be held the following morning at 10:00am on Wednesday, December 6th at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
