Born in Odessa, Texas to parents Larry and Susan Jernigan, Stephanie spent her early years in Nashville, Tennessee before moving back to Texas where she graduated from McCullough High School in the Woodlands in 1990. Stephanie, or Steph as she was known to most, found her niche in the energy industry in the early 2000s and founded her own successful electricity brokerage firm, POEM Solutions in 2005.
Sometimes unconventional, Steph was spontaneous, would give you her last dime and had an unmistakable passion for family and friends. She touched and enriched countless lives along her own life’s journey.
Stephanie is survived by her two daughters, Elizabeth and Eden Smith, her mother Susan Jernigan, father Larry Jernigan and his wife Karen, her brother Steve Jernigan and his wife Beverly, her niece Katie Jernigan and numerous other loving relatives.
Services will be held for Steph at 11 am in the Chapel at Grace Presbyterian Church, 10221 Ella Lee Lane, Houston, Texas 77042 on December 31, 2010 and will be conducted by Dr. Mike Fry.
