Stephen Mark Mottern

(December 23, 1971 – April 10, 2023)

Mark, 51, gained his angel wings on Monday, April 10, 2023. He was born to Jewell Clyburn and Bill Mottern in Johnson City, TN. Mark eventually moved to Houston, Texas with his mother, stepfather, Kenneth Tittle, and sister, Michelle Mottern. When he was younger he loved to play football, ride BMX bikes, and loved drumming, amongst many other things.

Mark graduated from Langham Creek High School and eventually graduated from the University of Houston with a Technical Engineering degree. He was proud of his accomplishments and worked in the Oil & Gas Industry as a Control Systems Engineer for over 30 years.

Throughout his life, he spent his time hunting, fishing, watching football and playing volleyball.

Mark was predeceased by Jewell and Ken Tittle, his parents. He leaves to cherish his loving memory his father, Bill Mottern (wife, Vicki), Michelle Mottern (sister), the love of his life, Lori Mottern, Matthew Mottern (son) and Andrew Mottern (son), along with this two stepchildren, Lauryn Helm and Dylan Helm.

Services will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home on April 22, 2023 at 10:00 am.
