Sue Nell Allmon

Sue Allmon, 87, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2016. She was born in Mexia, Texas on January 8, 1929. She was the last surviving child of the late John W. and Myrtle Summers. She was proceeded in death by her husband of 68 years, Claud Allmon, her parents and siblings Raymond Summers, John W. "Happy" Summers Jr., Mae Jones, Louise Millstid, and James Summers.

Sue and Claud were charter members of Holy Trinity Methodist Church in Houston. Sue retired from Galena Park Independent School District in 1989 after 29 years as Secretary at Northshore Middle School. She was also a member of the Laureate Zeta Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Sue is survived by her children, Claudia Kellar, Dianne Bailey and her husband James, and Patrick Allmon and his wife Denise; grandchildren, Kim Kellar Neverdahl and her husband Mark, Dori Bailey Schreiner and her husband Bobby, Cari Bailey McGowan and her husband Freddy, Rick Kellar and his wife Cindy, David Allmon and his wife Misty, and Mike Allmon; great- grandchildren, Makaela Kellar, Sarah Schreiner, Preston McGowan, Allen Schreiner, Colton Neverdahl, Karson Allmon, Logan Neverdahl, Jace Allmon; and many other nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Advantage Howard Glendale Chapel on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held the Advantage Howard Glendale Chapel on Thursday July 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. The burial will take place in Mexia, Texas at 3:00 pm.
