Suzanne was born on March 22, 1956 in Long Beach, California to Joe and Peggy Goeser. The family moved to Houston Texas in the 70’s, where Suzanne attended and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School.
Suzanne worked at ExxonMobil for 16 years, where she met Milton Doubrava. They married in 1977, and had two wonderful children. After leaving ExxonMobil, Suzanne opened Chassy's Yogurt & Ice Cream Shoppe, a successful neighborhood hang-out; where she brought joy to many children's faces. Once Milton retired from ExxonMobil, he and Suzanne purchased a home on Lake Livingston, where they spent many evenings on the front porch watching the boats go by.
Suzanne loved to be in the kitchen. Her passion was baking. She made birthday cakes for friends and families birthdays every year, and she also created beautiful wedding cakes and pastries. She loved having her family around her, whether it was swimming on the lake or playing a heated game of Monopoly. She always had a big smile on her face. She also had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her baby dog Mollie Jean.
Suzanne is survived by her husband of 39 years Milton; her son Chad Doubrava and his wife Jennifer; her daughter Melissa Kettler and her husband Josh; four beautiful grandchildren; Micaela, Kaitlyn, Samantha, and Wyatt; her step mother, Colleen Goeser; her brothers, Craig Goeser, and Mike Goeser and his wife Donna, and many other loving family members.
Suzanne was most proud of being a grandma. She would spend hours playing board games with the girls or watching them swim in the lake. Earlier this year, she was even able to meet and hold her first grandson. She loved all four of her grandchildren with every beat of her heart, and will live on each day through them.
