A loving mother, grandmother and sister, sylvia cherished her loved ones and would spend every holiday decorating with her grandchildren. She would often get on them but it was her way of showing she loved and cared about them. Her family nicknamed her "La Mona". From the start she was very involved in her community, she was a CCE Teacher and part of the PTO at Northline Volunteer. She loved having company around as much as she loved animals. Her favorite being turtles, elephants and birds. Sylvia was a huge Astros fan, she never missed a game. Her favorite genre was Tejano music and she especially enjoyed the music of Mazz; her favorite group. Sylvia's favorite dessert was ice cream.
