Tariro was a force of nature with a great smile and laugh. She loved travelling, good food (her middle daughter makes sure to mention that she was a "good cook" and made "delicious food"), and great music. Tariro loved her girls and wanted nothing but the best for them. Not only did she want the best for her children but also for her cousins and friends.
Tariro is survived by her three beautiful children, Shona, Nandi, and Anesu. Tariro is also survived by her mother Ruth Chirimumimba, her other moms (aunties), Mary Nettey, Margaret Franklin (& Don), and Grace Magaba (& Edison), her beloved uncles, Reuben, Samuel (& Ennie), and Danai Chirimumimba and wow did she spoil us, her many cousins, Chenai (& Kevin), Mazvita (Duncan), Takudzwa (& Kazi), Bennie, Tinashe (& Lo), Chido, Blessing, Ronnie, Lesslie, Jessey, Rodwell, Simbarashe, Tonderai (Taku), Kimberly, Ronny, Yolanda, and Nadia; and not to forget many nieces and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, located at 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077, on November 7, 2025, starting at 10:00 am.
A catered reception will follow on the same day from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
