Tay Van Le

Our beloved father, Tay Le, departed this world peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. He was 70 years old. In life he was loved and cherished by all, and pride himself in being a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Tay was born to Le Van Nam and Van Thi Mien on June 11, 1955, in Vietnam and was one of ten children. He immigrated to the United States in 1975 where he attended the University of Arkansas. He later met his wife, Dao Thi Nguyen and together they built a family.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, sacrifice and a deep passion for sports, especially the Astros.

His strength and passion will continue to live on in his surviving family members: his 7 children, Danny (Amy) Nguyen, Rick (Jodi) Nguyen, Patti Nguyen Williams, Tony (Christie) Le, Ryan (Thien) Nguyen, Larry (Trinh) Nguyen and Susan (John) Dinh; his 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind 5 sisters, Le T Tuyet Mai, Le T Tuyet Thu, Le T Hong Cuc, Le T Kim Phuong, Le T Ngoc Thanh and 4 brothers, Le V Loi, Le V Phu, Le V Quy, Le Thanh Binh; and his wife’s siblings, Que (Ai) Nguyen, Hoa (Ron) Nguyen and brother, Nick (Renee) Nguyen as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on February 2, 2026, from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Chapel of Eternal Peace, Chapel 1, located at 2454 S Dairy Ashford, Houston, TX.

The funeral service is scheduled for February 3, 2026, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, also at the Chapel of Eternal Peace, Chapel 1, at the same address.

A witness cremation will follow on February 3, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm at the Chapel of Eternal Peace.
