

Ted was born in Fairview, NJ on October 1, 1916 to Thomas and Marie Emr, of Zirovnice, Czech Republic. During WWII, Ted served in the U. S. Navy with the Seabees. After graduating Cum Laude from NYU, Ted enjoyed a distinguished 45 year career with Raymond International in New York City and Houston. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf and tennis, participating in “card night” with friends and traveling.
Ted was preceded in death by his son, Gary. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth (Betty), his children, Thomas (wife Patricia McDermott), Kathleen Femal (husband Jay), Debra Norris (husband Warren), Brian (wife Kristina) and Robert (wife Julie). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Timothy (wife Alicia), Kevin and Adrianne, Zachary and Jordan Femal, Coleton and Caden and great granddaughter, Olivia.
A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the Veteran’s Cemetery at 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038 on January 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. (281-447-8686)
In lieu of flowers, the family graciously requests that donations may be made in his memory to the Czech Center Museum Houston, 4920 San Jacinto, Houston, TX 77004, 713-528-2060.

Family and visitors are requested to meet at the temporary office buildings and then proceed as a group to the memorial chapel.
Directions –
Coming from 1960 (Cypress Creek Parkway), drive south on Veterans Memorial Pkwy. After going under the Beltway, take the first left onto Aldine Western (American Heritage Funeral Home is on the left). Proceed approx ½ mile. Take a right into the temporary entrance, just after the “Cemetery Entrance” sign. Follow the road around (to the right). Park in front of the office (located in the temporary buildings).
