Terri Jeannine Converse was born September 24, 1957 in Houston, Texas to Gene and Shirley Guinn. Terri was the firstborn of three, paving the way, or should we say "testing the waters" for her siblings. Terri accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age at Timbergrove Baptist Church. While at Timbergrove Terri was part of the JAM singers, an active youth group member and created many lifelong relationships. Terri graduated from Waltrip High School in 1976, was a member of the Guard (the school's Drum and Bugle Corp.) After graduation she moved to Huntsville, TX. for a brief time, then returned to Houston, where she worked with her Mom, at a stock brokerage firm, for over twenty years. Terri loved her job and loved that she was able to work with her Mom. For many of those years, her Dad was their chauffeur and she loved that part too.
Terri was best known for being so devoted to her family, her generosity, her flare and excitement over holidays, especially Christmas and her beautiful auburn hair. Terri would do anything for you and she loved to give extravagantly. Second to her love for holidays was her love for being in New Braunfels.
In 1989, along came the love of Terri's life, Ed. Terri and Ed married in March 1992, they raised children together, spent many a night at football games, cooking meals for the players, cheering in the stands (with family), backyard grilling (with family), celebrating birthdays/holidays (with family) and pretty much everything family. Terri and Ed shared a love for flowers and plants and creating a beautiful yard.
In remembering Terri, she was preceded in death by her parents Gene Guinn and Shirley Guinn, leaves behind a loving husband of thirty-one years, Edmond Converse, son Matt (Brianna), daughter Nicole, daughter Courtney, son Devin (Megan), sister Vicki (Art), brother Scott (Kellie); Nanny to Noah, Austyn, Peyton Casen, Liam, Grayson, Rember, Caleb, Everly and Casia, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Terri will always be in our hearts.
