

Terry Stevens McQueen, age 71, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on June 9, 2025. Terry was born on October 7, 1953, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Virginia Constance (Stevens) McQueen.
Terry inherited his love of the drums from his mother and began playing as a teenager, continuing his passion all the way through age 71. A 1972 graduate of Andrew Jackson High School, Terry eventually made his way to Houston, where he met the love of his life, Debra. They married on July 20, 1996, and shared a devoted partnership rooted in family and unity.
Terry served Harris County for 22 years and worked his way up to a Special Project Manager, where his passion for construction and helping others was evident in everything he did. He approached his work—and his life—with integrity, care, and a quiet strength that left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Terry will be remembered for his generosity, strong work ethic, and deep love for his family.
Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia S. McQueen, and his brother, Carey McQueen.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Debra McQueen; his children: Terry Steven McQueen, Vanessa Gossett and her husband Chris Scruggs, Michael Gossett and his wife Kristan Torres, Derrick Coffman, and Nikki White; his cherished grandchildren: Steven Patrick McQueen, Steve McQueen, Nathan Aranza, Nolan Aranza, Noah Gossett, Gavin Marosko, Bryce Gossett, Donald Crawford, Alissa Gossett, Adrianna Aranza, Jillian Marosko, Carla Crawford and godson, Jeremy Jones, Jr. He is also survived by his siblings: Barry McQueen and wife Brenda, Cheri Clark and husband Michael Clark, and Neal McQueen and wife Nda McQueen, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Terry will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 2:30 PM in Brookside's Grand Oak Chapel, with burial to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Barry McQueen, Neal McQueen, Mike Clark, Terry Steven McQueen, Michael Gossett, Edward Canamar, Ricardo Canamar, Margarito Sanchez and Honorary Pallbearers, Noah Gossett, Nathan Aranza, Gavin Morosko, Nolan Aranza, Alex Arambula, Jason Carter and Kevin Cmielewski.
