Terry Lynn Rich, age 75, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away on April 23, 2026. He was born in Colorado City, Texas, on April 23, 1951, to his parents, Presley Rich and Sylvia Rich. Terry’s life was marked by steady devotion—to his faith, to honest work, and to the people he loved most.
Terry graduated from Sam Houston High School. He met Cheryl at a Little League T-ball field in Houston, Texas, and the two were married on June 15, 1996. He worked as a welder at Siemens for over 25 years, a career that reflected the same dependable, hardworking spirit with which he approached his life and responsibilities. He took deep pride in providing for his family so that Cheryl could stay home with the kids, and he carried that commitment with quiet strength and constancy.
A man who found joy in simple, meaningful things, Terry loved the outdoors and especially fishing. Each year, he looked forward to the return of the hummingbirds, eager to put out the feed and watch them. He also fed other birds year-round, taking comfort in the rhythms of nature and the small moments that made a day feel full. Yet, even more than the outdoors, Terry was happiest when his family was gathered around him. He often said that the Lord comes first, then his family—and those who knew him saw that belief lived out in the way he cared, gave, and showed up for his children. He cherished being “Papa” to his grandkids and great grandkids, and his presence will be deeply missed.
