He was born in Cho Gao, Tien Giang, Vietnam on November 2, 1958 to Nguyen Chanh Phu and Le Thi Hue. He was married to his wife AnhNguyet Do for 40 years.
He was a member of Northwest Houston Vietnamese Alliance Church and had a passion for missionary, praying, gospel teaching, singing, choir director.
He is survived by his brothers Nguyen Van Tam, Nguyen Van Can, Nguyen Van Liem, sisters Nguyen Thi Anh, Nguyen Thu Lien, his wife AnhNguyet Do, his son Anh Tu and wife Tham Phan, his daughter Nguyen Thanh Thao and husband Duong Quang Phuc, and his youngest daughter Nguyen Thanh Thi.
A visitation for Thanh will be held Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM and Monday, June 20, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Chapel of Eternal Peace, 2454 S Dairy Ashford, Houston, TX 77077.
A funeral service will occur Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a committal service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Chapel of Eternal Peace.
