

Thelma Inez Davis Manuel,90, of Houston, left this life to be with the Lord on July 9, 2012. She was born on December 23, 1921 in Sour Lake, Texas, to James E. and Ressie Todd Davis. She was a homemaker and a good neighbor to all of her friends; was a homeroom mother and a volunteer at church.
Thelma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law, and aunt. She was beautiful both inside and out, with a quiet charm and a sweet sense of humor.
Thelma is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 51-years, Edward G. Manuel; five brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by her children, John Robinson, Jr., Gary Manuel & wife Nancy of Houston, Pam Dorsey & husband Harold of College Station; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hensley & husband Bert, Kyle Manuel & wife Joni, David Manuel & wife Mandy, Julie Dorsey Pauling, Anna Dorsey; great grandchildren, Tripp and Jackson Hensley, Devyn, Jake and Kimberley Manuel, Shannon Geerts & husband Ken, Ty, Max, and Ava Manuel, and Steven Pauling.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 15th from 3pm-5pm at Pat H. Foley & Co. A chapel service to celebrate Thelma’s life will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, July 17th, at Houston National Cemetery, 10401 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston 77038.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, 502 W. 26th St., Bryan, TX 77803.
