Dear Dorothy:  Please accept my condolences on your loss.  You and Ted were so kind to me during my happy time at St. John Vianney Parish.  Know that you both are in my prayers.  May he rest in peace.

 Ted Gunder was one of the most kind, friendly, and humble men I have ever known. He had a great sense of humor and he never failed to make you laugh. We will miss you Ted. Our thoughts go out to Dot, Jimmy and Peggy, and Susan and all the kids. We love you all.

The thing that I will miss most about Mr. Gunder is the fact that I never got the chance to know him better.  It is obvious from reading his obituary that he led a rich, full life.

I understand that, like many grandparents, he played a significant role in his grandson Dustin's upbringing and that Dustin was very close to Mr. Gunder.  

All I can say is that Mr. Gunder and the remaining members of the family did a great job with Dustin and Mr. Gunder's contribution to this effort should be noted.  In the six years that I've known Dustin, I have come to realize that he is a special person.  

You did good, Grandpa.
