
Theodore Fletcher "Ted" Moore, born October 26, 1920 in Rosepine, Louisiana and died on June 11, 2011 in Houston, Texas. Ted was a World War II veteran having served in the 755th Tank Battalion (U.S. Army) in the European Theatre before being honorably discharged. Ted was a charter member of the Sunset Masonic Lodge #1388, Corpus Christi and retired after 28 years of service with American Tobacco Company. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and going to casinos. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Stella H. Moore of Houston; son, Glenn H. Moore of Austin; two daughters, Tedi M. Banta and husband Coy of Houston and Bonnie Joe Jones of Vancouver, Washington; sister, Charlie Mills of Riverside, California; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, several family members and numerous friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Jimmie Hutchinson and son, Jessie Richard Moore. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with a tribute service to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Pat H. Foley & Company. A family service will be held at Willis Cemetery, Willis, Texas. Family and friends are invited to a reception to be held on Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at American Legion Post No. 560-Garden Oaks, 3720 Alba Road, Houston, Texas 77018.
