

He was born in Houston, TX on November 24, 1925 to Abe and Genevieve Ruby (Monoghan) Davis. He graduated from Jeff Davis High School. He enlisted in the U. S. Navy in December 1941 and served for four years during WWII. He was honorably discharged in 1945, achieving the rank of Boatswains Mate 2nd Class.
He married Mildred Dolores Lawrence on May 25, 1950 in Houston TX. They were married for 64 years. He enjoyed golf and coaching little league (baseball, football, and softball). Thomas was always known for his keen sense of humor and brought laughter to all who loved and met him. He will be remembered lovingly and deeply missed.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Abe and Genevieve Ruby (Monoghan) Davis, his brother John Davis, and his sons Samuel Joseph and Steven Michael Davis.
Thomas, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, is survived by his wife Mildred Dolores Davis of Houston, TX, three sons; Gerald Thomas (Gek Boey) Davis of Crosby, TX, John Matthew (Susan) Davis, and Geoffrey Scott (Brenda) Davis of Houston, TX; three grandsons: Wesley Prescott Davis, Preston Everett (Jenny) Davis, and Tristan Edward Davis; one great-grandson: Amos Scott Davis, and his sister Catherine Kerbow of Houston, TX., and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will take place at the Houston National Cemetery on Friday May 29, 2015 at 12:45 p.m. Flowers may be sent to Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
