Thomas Jue Weatherly, Sr. was born in Crockett, Texas on September 24, 1924. He left this life here on earth to be with our Lord and Savior on December 20, 2016. He was recently predeceased by his wife, Julia with whom he shared a loving and wonderful marriage for 37 years. He is survived by his sister, Johnnie Weatherly, his children Thomas Weatherly, Jr., Judy Weatherly, Ramona Baumann, Harry Hamilton, Lucy Seymour, and Holly Filip, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Tom was a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Brown & Root for over 25 years until he retired. Tom was a faithful member of the Church of Christ for over 50 years. He attended Hidden Valley for over 40 years and served there as a deacon for part of that time. After retirement from Brown & Root, he stayed active by serving others through various works such as hosting Bible studies, maintaining the church lawns, greeting those attending church services or cooking meals for church gatherings.
Tom was best known for his kind, friendly, and caring demeanor. All those who knew him, loved him.
The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, December 23, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 23, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home followed with a burial in Brookside Memorial Park.
