Born in Tyler, Texas, to Cecil Glendy Clark and Maurita Dell Clark, Thurman—affectionately known as Tommy by many—was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Erma Gideon Clark.
On April 23, 1965, Thurman married his childhood sweetheart, Erma, after first meeting her at the Lindale Pool—a moment they both described as love at first sight. Their marriage was filled with love, laughter, and devotion. In January 1972, they welcomed their daughter, Kathleen, and in April 1973, their family grew again with the birth of their son, Thurman.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Whispering Pines Baptist Church, 15200 FM 1485, Conroe, TX 77306. Following the service, a potluck reception will be held at 4:00 PM in the church fellowship hall.
