Timothy Cryer

Tim grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1969. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1971 and fought in the Vietnam War. After his tour in the Army, he began his career at Shell Oil Company, where he retired after 34 years of service.

Tim is preceded in death by his father, Roger Cryer.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda; his daughters: Heather, and Tracey (spouse Steve); his mother: Ellean; his adopted son: Matt; his grandchildren: Brandon, whom was more like a son, Raven, Justin, Jonathan, Jayda, Astrid, Aleena, Jaxsen, and Anderson; his great grandson: Zeke; his nieces and nephews: Sheila, Chris, Larry, and Brittany; and by many cherished relatives and friends.

A visitation for Tim will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:45 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 1:15 PM to 1:49 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
