Timothy Andrew Fuget Sr., lovingly known as "Timmy" to his family, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, in Katy, Texas, at the age of 72. Born on July 11, 1953, in Baltimore, Maryland, he was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle.
Timothy is survived by his children, his daughter, Tammy O’Brien & her husband, Alfonso Jaime (AJ); his son, Timothy Fuget Jr.; his grandchildren, Tyler O’Brien, Daniella O’Brien, Abby O’Brien, and Andrew Fuget; and his great-grandson, Liam Fuget; his sisters, Linda Smoot, Frances Bernstein, Deborah Fuget, and Emily Fuget; his brother, David Fuget; as well as nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Fuget Sr.; his mother, Ida Fuget; and his brothers, James Fuget Jr. and Daniel Fuget.
Timmy was a kind-hearted, open-minded man with a great sense of humor. After graduating from high school, he proudly followed in his father’s footsteps by serving in the United States Army, where he completed four years of honorable service. Following his military career, he went on to work at General Motors, a job that supported him as he built a family of his own and eventually ran his own business as a property preservation specialist.
Though he was strong and hard-working, Timmy had a sensitive side that earned him the playful nickname “the fifth sister.” He was never afraid to show emotion and was known for his warmth, compassion, and joyful nature. His light hearted spirit earned him many nicknames actually; like “old bitty” from his niece and “tu tu” from his nursing home family who loved and cared for him. He was a lifelong Baltimore Ravens fan, a lover of model trains like his dad & brothers, and an avid collector of lighthouses. He also had a talent in the kitchen and a true love for good food. Christmas was his favorite time of year—he took pride in finding the perfect gifts and creating joyful memories for his grandchildren.
Even after suffering a major stroke that left him unable to speak for over a decade, Timmy’s sense of humor and bright presence never faded. He continued to bring laughter and smiles to those around him, showing remarkable resilience and grace.
Timmy was loved and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be laid to rest with military honors in Maryland. Details of the service will be shared at a later time.
