On June 9, 2019, Tom Lee, of Sugar Land, TX, went to meet his best friend, Jesus Christ surrounded by family at the age of 76. Tom studied at the University of Houston and later earned his Master Electrician’s license and ran his own company for several years in Salida, Colorado. He later worked for Exxon in both Austin and Houston before retiring. Tom was a deacon at Sugar Creek Baptist Church and frequently volunteered for Second Mile Missions. He also taught himself some Spanish phrases in preparation for a mission trip to Honduras to help build water wells with Living Water. His love for God was evident to anyone who met him. He was a loving husband and his kids all agree that he was the best Dad anyone could ever pray for. They remember waking every morning they grew up seeing their Dad reading his Bible and on his knees in prayer.
He is survived by his wife, Fairy, children, Mike and Michelle Lee, Teri and Brian Blythe, and Kari and Darren Bean, His brother and sister-in-law Jim and Linda Lee, Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law, Martha and Bob Turnbull, Ron and Sandi Thomasson, Deborah and Mark Starr, Tim and Darlene Thomasson, and 8 grandchildren; Jeremy Blythe, Jason Blythe, Joli Blythe, Shane Lee, Jamie Blythe, Jennifer Blythe, Tara Lee, Connor Glenn and one great-grandchild, Luna Lee.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 12th at 2pm at Advantage Funeral Home, 7010 Chetwood Dr. Houston, TX 77081 .
