

She passed from this life into the everlasting glories of Heaven on Monday, February 16, 2024 in Houston, TX at 93 years of age. She survived the Japanese occupation of the Philippines during WWII, and later founded a successful rice wholesale business. In 1950 Tomasa married the love of her life, Arturo Iniwan. To this marriage were born six daughters, Delia, Estrella, Juanita, Alma, Evelyn, and Maricel; and four sons, Ronaldo, Gerardo, Cesar, and Conrado. She devoted her life to her family and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and sought always to be more like Him. She had a generous heart, and often helped those in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, her sisters, and numerous other extended family members. She is survived by her youngest brother, Perfecto Vilar of Pantabangan, Philippines; her children Delia (John) Saludares; Estrella Duldulao; Juanita (Nilo) Pronto; Ronaldo (Cora) Iniwan; Alma (John) Abril; Evelyn (Serafin) Alberto; Cesar Iniwan; Gerardo (Gerlie) Iniwan; Conrado (Glenda) Iniwan; Maricel (David) Swallow of Spring, Texas; and her beloved grandchildren Alistaire Duldulao, Analisa Saludares, Shantel Saludares, Jason Iniwan, Jerome Iniwan, Alasther Duldulao, Gerard Iniwan, Angela Saludares, Joy Iniwan, Timothy Saludares, Allan Pronto, Angelo Iniwan, Arianne Pronto, Joan Pronto, Anthony Iniwan, Arthur Iniwan, Adam Iniwan, and David Arthur Swallow. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Joshua Saludares, Ken Duldulao, Amaya Saludares, Kyan Duldulao, Madison Saludares, Kylle Duldulao, Blake Marasigan, Zachary Marasigan, Olivia Saludares, Anika Pronto, Kimura Saludares, Sept Pronto, Octhea Pronto, and Axel Iniwan, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Funeral Mass for Tomasa will be held March 1st at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius in Spring, TX. Visitation will be held February 27th to 29th from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home at Champions (3410 Cypress Creek Pkwy). She will be laid to rest in Klein Cemetery, FM 2920, Spring, TX.
