

Trang embodied hard work, dedication, humility, and kindness. He was a true Renaissance man – having served in the South Vietnamese Army, worked as a janitor, maintenance man, and security guard. He was also an entrepreneur and businessman. In the refugee camp, he worked as a barber; later, he provided loans to shrimping boat captains and eventually founded a real estate business. Trang provided housing to countless families in Port Arthur and even helped several tenants begin their own real estate ventures.
Trang is survived by Yen Thi Nguyen (sister); Yen Nguyen (sister); Lynn (daughter) and Jerome Mauricio; Thu (daughter) and Michael Nguyen; and the following grandchildren: Dean Mauricio, Charlie Mauricio, James Mauricio, Alexander Nguyen, and Vincent Nguyen.
Trang’s legacy is one of strength and resilience. His family invites all who knew him to visitation services from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2025 and 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2025 at the Chapel of Eternal Peace located at 2454 South Dairy Ashford Rd, Houston, Texas 77077.
