Trini Leal

Trini Leal passed away on January 10, 2026, at the age of 72. She was born on November 16, 1953, in Monterrey, Mexico. She moved with her family to Houston, Texas at the age of three, where she spent the rest of her life.

Trini spent the majority of her life as a caregiver for her parents, but she also enjoyed a variety of odd jobs. These included working as a jewelry engraver, candy striper, and doctor's receptionist.

Trini loved crochet and embroider, go for long drives, bake, and sing. Her favorite pets to keep were dogs. She loved babies and children, always prioritizing their needs when around them. She often volunteered at River Oaks Elementary School where her daughter attended, chaperoning field trips and helping out at special events. A proud memory of hers was running a small summertime "classroom" in her backyard as a child, helping her friends prepare for the next school year.

A devout Catholic, Trini was faithful to God and deeply loved her family. Known for her sweetness, she always inquired about the well-being of those around her, including her caregivers.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Andres C. Leal and Maria T. Leal, and baby Rebecca. She is survived by siblings Hortencia Hernandez, Andrew Leal (spouse: Irma), and Gerardo Leal (spouse: Candelaria), daughter Rachel L. Marcus (spouse: Andrew) and grandson Luke A. Marcus. She leaves behind many other family members that will always love and remember her.

The family extends special thanks to the staff at Cypress Pointe Health and Wellness Center and to the team at Sunset Hospice. Their incredible care during her final years will never be forgotten.

A visitation will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, located at 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077, on January 30, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at the same location on January 31, 2026 at 10:00 am. Trini will be laid to rest at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home and Cemetery, also located at 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston.
