Sis. Linda and family, my family and I offer words of condolence to you all during this difficult time. It’s hard to know what to say at times like this, especially to someone we care about.

We pray that you know that even when words fail us, the feelings we share & the comfort we want to give is always there.

Deacon Washington was a kind-hearted, caring, respectful man &I’m grateful to him because he helped my mom during a time when she needed eye surgery. He didn’t have to offer any assistance at all, but out of the kindness of his heart - just by asking for a little information, my mother’s surgery was scheduled. What a man of God, truly grateful for that!! May God grant you peace when you lovely, strength when you get weak and comfort when you feel you can’t make it. 🙏🙏

Linda,

We are deeply sorry for your loss. Please know that you and your entire family are in our prayers during this difficult time.

When words are not enough, may the Holy Spirit surround you with His peace and comfort, giving you rest when the night feels long. We pray that the Lord will strengthen you each day and gently carry you through every moment.

Psalm 34:18 reminds us that, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

May the Lord presence be near to you, bringing comfort, hope, and quiet reassurance.

We send all of our love to you.

With heartfelt sympathy,

The Edwards Family (Caroline, Gloria, Pastor John, Lois, William, Percy, Mary and Martha)

SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. PRAYING 🙏 FOR YOU AND THE FAMILY. STRENGTH . IN THE LORD

My deepest condolences to Linda Washington, the children and entire family. May God keep you in His perfect peace now and the days ahead.

Linda,

I’m so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and the children during this very difficult time. The love, devotion, and strong bond you shared as husband and wife were truly special. May the years you spent building a life together, the love you shared, and the memories you created bring you comfort in the days ahead.

His generosity, kindness, and willingness to give of himself to others will always be remembered. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love—not only in the lives of those he helped, but especially in the family you built together.

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” — Acts 20:35

May God strengthen you and your children, comfort your hearts, and surround you with His peace. May you always treasure the love and partnership you shared and find comfort knowing that the impact of his life will continue through you, your children, and all those he touched.

We are here for you.

With heartfelt sympathy and love,

Cousin Alfreda Cooks Maddox and Family

My prayers are with you cousin doing these times. As your heart is hurting remember the good times and never let them go away, as you acknowledge that there’s no sorrow on this earth that heaven can’t not heal.

My holidays will never be the same without my Brother in law being around. Greeting me with a hand shake and a hug. Decon Washington was one of a kind. He love to hate on my Dallas Cowboys, but I would mess with him about his Texans. Decon Washington was as a good role model, Husband, Father, and most importantly he was a faithful servant of the lord.
Phil 4:13 🙏🏽

Hello, this is Tonea. Tristan was precious to me. He was one person everyone at the church could tease or he, them. I personally will miss teasing him and he, teasing me. He had a great sense of humor and he is beloved .My prayers are with you Linda and your family and extended family. God loves you and He totally understand what you all are going through. Tristan will be sorely missed. May God give comfort, may He continue to give you all strength, please during this time.

Praying that you find strength as a family while enduring this difficult time. I didn’t know Tristan personally, but his brother in law, Clark, shared the news as well as just how good a Man Tristan was. To that end, asking that God continue to cover you and be your rock. Sending loads of love, prayers and encouragement all the way from Detroit.

Prayers are going up ever since I heard. To me, God chose one of his most beautiful flowers in his garden. He welcomed me in to the church family and continued with concerns of assisting in any way that he could for 16 years. May God strengthen all of you in this difficult time.

My condolences to my sister, nieces, and nephew. Please know that I love you and our Triune God loves you more. May He grace you with comfort and care and a great measure of peace that surpasses all understanding. Tristan, you were an amazing husband and dad. Rest well in the presence of the Lord.
Your sister-in- law

He was ALWAYS there for us ❤️ I’ve never met a man like him before. No other man will ever compare to my dad. My daddy wasn’t perfect, but he was always present and our hugest supporter. This man sacrificed so much to help his family and others when he didn’t have much. God, he was so stubborn, in the most infuriating yet astonishing and admirable way in terms of the lengths he would take to ensure that we never worried about him, even when it was apparent. He was the ultimate blessing of my life. I will forever love you daddy 🕊️❤️

I am a classmate and teammate of Tristan's from Wharton High School and am proud to call him both, as well as a tremendous friend! Even though we lost touch from the early '80s, Tristan combined intelligence with a fabulous work ethic. On one occasion, I needed help with a part-time job (shoveling, bagging and delivering 35-lb gravel sacks). While the work promised a sore back, Tristan didn't hesitate to help. I'm sure in every aspect of his life, everyone would say "you could always count on Tristan!"

He's a man of faith in our Lord, so I know I will see him and his radiant smile again!
