

Troy Anthony Bahde, a beloved, selfless, and fun loving individual, passed away on September 24, 2025, at the age of 58. A resident of Cypress, Texas, Troy was born on September 29, 1966, in Anaheim, California, to Norbert and Diana (Heser) Bahde.
Troy's early life was marked by a passion for sports, as he played football and baseball from a young age. He graduated from Loara High School, where he cherished many friendships. Following high school, Troy enlisted in the Army, embarking on a distinguished military career. He went directly from basic training to flight school, where he learned to fly Apache helicopters. Troy served nine years in the Army and was deployed to Desert Storm, where he piloted Apache helicopters with distinction.
After his military service, Troy transitioned to a career in aviation, flying private helicopters in the Gulf of Mexico for 25 years. His dedication and skill were evident throughout his career.
Troy was a devoted family man. He married Honeybunch, also known as Dawn, and they recently celebrated their 25th anniversary. His sons, Anthony and Sweetboy, also known as Andy, were his pride and joy. Troy was preceded in death by his father, Norbert Bahde. He leaves behind his wife Dawn, sons Anthony (Jessica) and Andy,his mother, Diana, his brother Scott (Lauri), granddaughters Brooklyn and Adeline, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leonard and Angela LeMay, brother-in-law, Jake (Angie) LeMay, and many nephews and a niece.
Troy's personal interests included boat and car racing, watching sports, and listening to music. He was fascinated by those who could write music and by the mechanics of engines. Known for his loyalty, Troy loved his family and friends dearly, always striving to make situations light, easy, and humorous. His legacy is one of happiness and enjoyment of life’s moments.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 1, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the American Heritage Funeral Home, located at 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. Following the celebration, a Committal Service will take place at the Houston National Cemetery from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm. Attendees are requested to arrive at Lane 2 no later than 12:15 pm and remain in their vehicles until the service at the designated pavilion. A reception will follow from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the American Heritage Funeral Home.
