Valentine R. Acosta, born February 14, 1929 passed away October 19, 2011. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 58 years, Maria Acosta; children, Joann Aguirre, John Paul Acosta and Mary Ann Acosta; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; sisters, Victoria Mendiola and Marcelina Lopez and numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Brookside Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am Monday, October 24, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 2405 Navigation Bldv., Houston TX 77003. Rite of Committal will be at Brookside Memorial Park. Valentine was a loyal member at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and was with the Knights of Columbus local 2917. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, Christian and friend. His legacy will be carried in the hearts of all his family.
