Her heart beat for 71 years. In that same heart there was only room for love. Her mind was limited and she was a person with special needs but there was no limit when it came to her attitude and her spirit.
She never drove a car, fell in love or got married yet she never complained. Not many people that will read this will know her or remember her however she was very much worth remembering as she was accomplished in many areas. Even though she had her limitations, she could sign to those who could not hear. She could speak spanish. She bowled 500 series each time her group took to the bowling alleys every Saturday. She looked after our mother when they lived together making sure she took her meds, stayed hydrated and ate. Oh how she loved the holidays, Thanksgivng and Christmas and no matter how small the gift, she treated it as it was priceless.
Yes, she had her limitations but her life was important and mattered very much to those that knew and loved her. Everywhere she went, strangers would talk with her. At Astro games people in our rows would buy her hats or T shirts. She affected those around her with her innocence and childlike behavior and her unique personality.
She survived cancer and a mastectomy six years ago with a positive attitude. In her life, she had many reasons to be down or complain yet never did. She could not hold food or liquids down for the last six months of her life yet she never complained. It was my pleasure to really get to know her more profoundly in the last four months that in all the years before. She was my sister and I am proud to say I am her brother.
Her soul is now in a place with no pain, no disabilities and no special needs. She accepted Chirst as her savior and knew that significance and meaning of that.
She is predeceased by her immediate family, Fred and Murnelle Collier, and Lori Alice Collier.
She is survived by Allan Collier, Courtney Farmer, Amanda Collier, Emily Collier, Catherine Collier and great nieces and nephew, Maddi, Avery, Kinsley, Quinn and Dillion.
A special thanks for the Marbridge in Austin for giving Lynne a loving and safe and happy place to live her final four months.
