Cant believe that it has been Three years already.  I miss your candor and laughter that we shared on the phone.  I am always sadden that we never got a chance to meet up again and that you were taken from us in such an abrupt manner without chances to say "good-bye" or "I love you, dear Uncle".  

You remain in our hearts, know that you are protecting us  and pray you're resting peacefully.

Still thinking of you my Beloved Uncle.  While I regret that we did not always have opportunities to meet because of distance, you were still like a surrogate Father to me.  I remember your ironic and sometimes bombast humour,  your generosity and always warm feelings for family members---- especially your sister Ingrid.  I hope that you have since reconciled in the Beyond and are looking over your family members. You are greatly loved and missed today on the 2nd anniversary of your passing. Good Morinng my name is radcliffe worrell vasco was my brother he was the best brother you could ever 
want i have to say thanks to his wife daughter and his son for taking such good care of my brother when he was alive 
i never talked to his wife much but i will ask how she was doing and he would always reply she was cooking 
vasco/ leroy immigrate from bravados but he never left his family behind and for that i am thankful once he was sick 
and i called to see how he was doing he was crying iI told him that i will call him everyday for the balance of his life that was seventeen years age vasco joined merchant marines and worked his way up too become 2nd engineer officer vasco at and early age
had the first motor car in the village that we came from at twenty years old oh how happy i was to get a ride in that car he liked old cars till we nick named him raymond masey vasco there was five of us now there is two of us my sister candacy UK and myself he left behind one nephew one nephew in Canada one great nephew in antigeu and one nephew in the Uk i must say that i could carry you to the gates and i could not go no further from my wife and my self may god be good too you and i will always remember you you were a good brother

M.J. Worrell - Nephew

A salty Son-of-a-Sailor---he was a “ladies man". He maintained that flirtatious charm all his life---sometimes to the consternation of the women in his life !  He loved to be pampered and spoiled with a heavy meal. He loved his Star of India Dry Gin over which we once polished off a bottle on a summer porch; he could cuss up a storm like a sailor.  Opinionated, he love to “debate” for the sake of argument.  A man of integrity and generosity, he never backed away, never flinched from responsibility and duty to those he loved !  He was a “man’s man” too !
In retired life, he often expressed his love and devotion to Maria Ligia Worrell, his devoted wife of two decades.  Many times, he expressed his happiness and contentment with her and her family in making his senior  years peaceful and free of past disappointments. To that, I would like to say thank you, to Mrs. Vasco Worrell, her daughter Brigitte and others for loving and taking care of our LeRoy.
He has been taken from all of us----His daughter Ingrid in New York, sister Arlene and nieces Tracey and Shola in the UK,  his younger Brother Radcliffe, his youngest sister Yolande, his grand-nephew Hendrick Watson ---- much too soon, under global circumstances we couldn't have imagined.   
May he remain in our hearts and in the memories of all those he encountered and touched.

My name is Mitchell Joseph Worrell of Toronto, Canada.  I am honored to say a few words about my late Uncle Josh, also fondly known as LeRoy, birth-name Vasco Worrell.  It is with much sadness that I write from such a distance, because I was never able to see him again, having only a fleetingly New Year’s Day phone conversation to say I loved him  before he passed.  
My Uncle Josh was the first and younger brother of my Mother, the late Ingrid Worrell. The second eldest, Josh was first to leave the nest, immigrating to the USA in the late 1950s.  The wanderlust to travel the world had set in early !
I would like to declare that even though Josh was technically my uncle, he was more of like a Father to me.  I knew of him and his reputation long before I first met him in June, 1970.  He was the fantasy father that I never had.  He appeared robust, a little stern and aloof…until he smiled and the you saw a twinkle in his eye that he wasn’t quite the “leatherneck tough guy”, he made himself out to be.      He was the apple of my Mother’s eye. Though she was 5 years older, he was her “Big Brother”.  She never ceased to have words of affection, praise and support for him. In return, he never stopped declaring his love and affection for his Sister. There wasn't anything they wouldn’t do for each other in a time of crisis and sickness.  He was always there for her---and by extension---for me, his first Nephew. My Uncle, as we well know, loved the sea.  He was christened “Vasco”, coincidentally but prophetically, after the 15th century Portuguese explorer. Uncle Josh worked for many years as a merchant seaman, traveling to far-flung ports, many of us may never visit in our lifetime.   He sometimes liked to brag there wasn’t any country in world. On a 1974 visit, he presented me, a wide - eyed 10 year old kid, with a fabulous coin and paper currency collection----just to Prove it!  I still have and cherish that coin collection to today !

MANY.TIMES LIFE WAS UNKIND TO YOU  but you over
