

Vera Jean, daughter of Robert Bretney and Anna Louise Crockett was born on the 15th of November 1941, in Fort Worth, Texas.
She is survived by her three children; Cynthia Cromwell Burnham, husband Timothy Douglas Burnham, Robert Owen Cromwell II, wife Leia Curtis Cromwell, and Camille Cromwell Scott, husband Joel Robert Scott. Her grandchildren; Taylor Louise Burnham, Benjamin Douglas Burnham, Catherine Camille Scott, William Cromwell Scott, Harrison Robert Scott, Elizabeth Grace Scott, Lillian Jean Cromwell and Margaret Bailey Cromwell. Her sisters, Reva Ann Crockett Parks, Elizabeth June Crockett Wiles and brother, Henry David Crockett as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brother, Robert Bretney Crockett, Jr.
Vera had a remarkable gift of endearing herself to all of those who knew her. Her wit and laughter will never be forgotten.
The funeral mass is to be offered at ten o’clock in the morning on Thursday, the 13th of July, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road in Houston, where the Rev. Wayne Wilkerson, Pastor, is to serve as celebrant. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception and celebration of her life at the Briar Club of Houston, 2603 Timmons Lane.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be directed towards the Alzheimer’s Association, 6055 S. Loop E., Houston, TX 77087.
