Verda is survived by her husband, Joe Reed, Sr.; son J. D. Reed, Jr. and his wife Karen; daughter Wanda Wolff and her husband, Mike; sons James Reed and John Reed; her grandchildren: Scot Davis and his wife Billie, Ryan Reed and his wife Kathleen, Kristin Reed, Joe Davis and his wife Barbara, Adam Davis and his wife Emily, and William Reed and his fiancé Jennifer Davis; 11 great-grandchildren: Julie, Phoenix, Austin, Katelyn, Dylan, Keegan, Lucy, Lauren, Bella, Patrick & Hallie; and brother James Collins and his wife Dixie of Angleton, Texas. She is preceded in death by her mother and father.
Verda was a kind and loving wife, mother, and grandmother that will be greatly missed.
Services will be held with family and friends to celebrate Verda’s wonderful life on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas, with a reception to follow.
