Verie Bostic

Verie Mae Abraham “Tommie” Bostic was called home to be with the lord on November 17, 2023. Verie was born on September 9, 1942 in Grand Cane, Louisiana to the late Calvin Abraham and Clara D. Sample.

Verie was married to the late Gary Bostic and resided in Humble, Texas, there were no children born to this union. Verie retired from the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas and was enjoying her golden years watching professional sports and cooking delicious soul food.

Verie was a fun-loving, spirited person who usually spoke her mind and stood her ground. While growing up, she did many things that the boys did, hence the nickname “Tommie”. She could hold her own with the best of them and could really talk sports and argue her point of view with her siblings and close friends. We love her and will miss her dearly.

Verie is survived by four siblings: Sisters, Lola M. Abraham of Logansport, Louisiana and Johnnie Ray Abraham of Houston, Texas; Brothers; Steve Abraham of Port Arthur, Texas, and Charlie Lee Abraham of Logansport, Louisiana. She is cherished by her in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
