

Her childhood and teenaged years is where she discovered her passion for dancing and meet her forever friend and sister DeAndrea. She attended A.G. Hillary elementary and was a wildcat dancer, B.C. Elmore middle and was tiger cheerleader, and a played in the band. Verietta and her Sister DeAndrea would battle for 1st chair flute. Sometimes Verietta would win and sometimes DeAndrea but one thing they made sure of no one else would battle them and they would sit 1st and 2nd chair flute while at B. C. Elmore band under the direction of Mrs. McBride. She graduated from M.B. Smiley high school class of 88 where she was a Colleen dancer.
The compassion she had while being a Personal Care Assistants for her grandmother and others help her with her decision to to further her career and finish nursing school. Verietta studies nursing at UT Arlington, Lone Star College, and San Jac. She began her career at East Houston Regional Medical Center where is worked for years. She then ventured to Kingwood hospital.
On May 27, 2005 is when she married the love of her life David Joesph and from this union she gained a bonus child David Joseph Jr. Verietta and David shared the passion of fishing and traveling.
Verietta love spending time with her family. They would travel all around South Texas beaches fishing and enjoying family time. Some of her other favorite things to do with her family is play spades, left right center, cooking, and spending quality time with her granddaughters and great nieces and great nephews. Although Verietta didn’t have child of her own she choice Angel Fill and loved her has her own.
Zydeco music had always been her favorite. She was a nurse by night and a zydeco queen by day. She enjoyed listening and dancing to Leon Chavis, Lil Nate, and Brian Jack and so many more with her friends Melissa, Whitney, AlCrystal, Keke, Dani, and Meme. She supported all zydeco artists and djs big or small. She was apart of many groups Pat Cel line dance click where she was a hot girl, Purple Diamond Divas social club, and ASLD (Anytime Swing Line and Dance) where she learn to swing out.

She was preceded in death by her father: Cloteal and Roosevelt Stidom Sr.; Brother: Roosevelt Stidom Jr; grandparents: Vera and Sam Turner Jr.; uncles: Leroy Turner and Burnis Turner.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband of 17 years David Joseph: one son David Joseph Jr. : one god daughter: Angel (Torrence) Fill; her uncle and aunt: John W (Maxine) Turner; her two nephews: Roosevelt (Jasmine) Stidom III, Isaiah Stidom Sr. ; sister-in-laws: Aretha Stidom, and Melissa Tyler; two grandchildren Fill and A’yanna Fill; nine great grand neice la and newphews: Lillie Stidom, Lilah Stidom, Ashton Holmes, A’Layah Stidom, Adryeen Stidom, Aybree Stidom, Leihlani Stidom, Aasaila Stidom, and Isaila Stidom Jr.; and a host of cousins to cherish her legacy and memories.
