

Veronica “Ronnie” Jean LaNoue, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home Saturday, the 18th of January 2014, after a valiant 8 year struggle after a stroke. Ronny was born on the 12th of December 1922, in Chicago, Illinois. She raised her family in Rockford, Illinois where she took a variety of courses from Rockford University. She moved to Houston with her family in 1970 and called this city home for the remainder of her life.
Ronny was an avid international traveler and saw most of this wide world. She was a gifted artist in many crafts, expert at anything she put her mind to from cake decorating to reupholstering antique furniture. For many years she worked at Memorial Realty as a realtor managing the rental property side of the business.
She is survived by her daughters, Michele LaNoue of Houston and Sheila French of Rockford; and her sister, Ardith Spinoza. She is also survived by her former husbands, Leonard LaNoue with whom she had their daughter Michele and son Marc, and Louis Davidson. Her beloved son, Marc LaNoue, followed her to heaven hours after her passing. Her incredibly intelligent wit, her constant beauty, and her love of her children and friends will be forever missed.
The family in particular wants to express their heartfelt gratitude to Alma Martinez and Claudia Acosta for their many years of lovingly caring for their mother.
Friends are cordially invited to gather with the family and share remembrances of Ronnie from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, on Friday, the 24th of January in the grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
A memorial service is to be conducted on Saturday, the 25th of January, at eleven o’clock in the morning in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons.
