I miss the hour long conversations each day. My dad was full of wisdom, he grew me up in ways only he could and I’m grateful to God for his life while he was here with us.

Dad I really miss you. I miss our 3 hour conversations. I miss you correcting me. I miss your wisdom. I missing looking and seeing I missed your call and hurting to call you back. You were loved and I hope that you received that love in your life. I never knew anyone to not complain and just simply endure. You did that on levels that could only have been spiritual. Your grandchildren miss you and I miss you and I love you. We will see you again.

Dad, you have been gone 2 years now. I miss your gentle voice, kind spirit, and the moments we talked about every and anything. I love and miss you each day.

Mr. Versale was  a dear friend to the ladies on Arbor St. He looked after each one of them and built a legacy that we will never forget. I lack the words to express our grief over the passing of your phenomenal father. He was always checking on each of them and offering his service. We will always remain grateful for the opportunity to have met your dad in this lifetime. May his soul Rest In Peace.

Mr Versell was like a big brother to me when I moved to Houston tx. Versell  was carrying and treated me with respect sometimes tough on me but a lot of times its what I needed to keep  me on the straight and narrow he also tough me how to be responsible and help me get a summer job also tough me how to me a Man the little things in life things that really matter the man even tough me how to dress yes thats right HOW TO DRESS versell will be missed and will always have a place in my heart God bless him

Hi family, this is Lynn Carroll, of Phoenix AZ,  sending my condolences to the family, I am the son of Ruth and Rufus Carroll, my memories of Versell , go back to when I was 16 years old living in Shreveport, he came for a visit showing off his brand new vehicle, he let me drive it, what a joy for a kid of only 16, what a wonderful, beautiful man my cousin was, God bless you all as my prayers are with you 

R. I. P brother n law. The Love is real. My big sister Olivia and Jelly Joe. I'm here if you need me. No more pain. To be absent from the body. Is to be present with the Lord. 

A friend love at all times. God's love knock as a stranger, asking men to search deep within pulling the best out of all men. For Versell, wasn't just loved by few, but many. This form of love travel through the hearts of all who loved him so dear. God's love, gifted him to be one of the best carpenters there was. He never met a stranger. Always having a kind word toward his fellow man. He was a voice among his childrens and grandchildren, if there was a storm his voice brought peace echoing in a soft voice love at all times, be kind one to another, this statement he spoke. I always loved, some things is to be left alone, and just prayed about.  He was never to busy to pause. To call checking daily on his children.

I’ve known Versell all my life as family and friend. He was a gentle giant and we have had many deep thought provoking discussions. We didn’t always agree but we always left the conversation to have expanded our thinking. I will miss those times. I look around my house and see all the different projects he completed for me over the years and I’m forever grateful for it even more so now. There’s none like Versell and he is truly missed. 


Mr Versell as I called him helped with handyman tasks at my homes. He never threw away any thing we worked on. He always could see a way to use everything - not just for himself but for others.  He was a good man and will be missed.

 It brings me peace and comfort to know that you a finally resting.  I will miss our talks…

I am honored to have known Versell as a neighbor and a friend. No matter when or where I would run in to Versell, he took time out of his day to stop and talk. I never saw him without a smile on his face and seeing him put a smile on mine as well. He worked endlessly in the community to help others  and was prepared to share his talents and wisdom with those around him. I am thankful to say Versell was a part if my life and hope to honor his memory by emulating the person he was.

Dad, I'm going to miss you dearly. We always talked several times during the week. Being able to spend quality time with you was wonderful but hard. Seeing you sick and fighting to continue living brought sadness to my heart, but I know you are in a better place. I will continue to cherish your memories you left me with, and know I love and miss you greatly!! Your daughter 💕
