Victoria lived a life defined by faith, service, and devotion to her family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose kindness touched countless lives.
A woman of deep faith, Victoria was an active member of Lakewood Church for many years, where she volunteered in the Spanish-speaking ministry to help spread the word and God's love! She found great joy and fellowship by sharing her faith with those around her.
For more than 50 years, Victoria was a beautician and proud owner of La Contessa Beauty Salon. She enjoyed helping people to look their best and formed lasting friendships and connections throughout her community.
Outside of her work and volunteer service, Victoria took pleasure in the simple things in life. She was an avid gardener who took pride in nurturing beautiful plants and flowers. She also loved traveling to Las Vegas and Louisiana casinos with friends and family, making special, fun-filled memories. Victoria was always ready to put on her dancing shoes as she loved listening to music and dancing to her heart's content!
Victoria was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse De Leon, a WWII veteran and U.S. Army veteran who passed away in 2018.
She is survived by her loving family, including her children, Carmen Herrera, Frank Mata, David De Leon, Freddie De Leon, Elizabeth De Leon, Jesse De Leon Jr., Jeanette De Leon; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended relatives, and many dear friends who will forever be touched by her memory.
Though our hearts are filled with sorrow, we are grateful for the 87 years of love, faith, and laughter that Victoria shared with us.
“Though we had to say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing this is not farewell, but simply until we meet again!”
