

Viola Ann Broussard, born January 12, 1919, was chosen by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, to be an angel in heaven. She joins her beloved husband Wilbur Broussard, parents Ed and Selma Leirman, brothers Leo and Edwin who preceded her. She is survived by her children, Don Broussard, Debbie and spouse Jim Savage, Dan Broussard and Denise Davison; Grandchildren Austin Campbell and spouse Kathy, Kira Campbell, Jessica Broussard Yanez and spouse Chris, Kyle Davison and fiancé Emily Grissom, Phillip Broussard and Mark Davison; Great-grandchildren, Dylan and Zoey Campbell, Seth and Amber Stevens and Kalli Watson and Faith Yanez; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Born in Weimar, Texas, she moved with her family to Houston in 1925. Married Wilbur Broussard in 1949. She had several jobs over the years, but devoted her life to her husband and family.
Viola was a devout Catholic and member of the Corpus Christi Parish in Houston, Texas. She volunteered for her children as a boy scout den mother, girl scout troop leader, homeroom mom and coach. She loved the outdoors, her many friends, selling antiques with her son, cheering on the Rockets, Texans and Astros with her grandchildren, and the smiles and laughter from her great-grandchildren.
For her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she is the heart and soul of our family. Her love, strength, support, faith, devotion, smile and laughter lives on through each and everyone. We thank God for her everyday.
Viola was a remarkable woman and will be missed by everyone who is left behind.
Visitation will be Friday, November 18, 2011, from 5-8pm with a Rosary at 7:30pm. Funeral Service will be Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 10:00 am at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetary, 12800 Westheimer Road.
