Violet Marie Bourghs Hull passed away July 26, 2015. Violet was born in Panola County, Texas on April 18, 1913. She attended Mt. Bethel Church, where she taught children’s Sunday school. She graduated from Carthage High School in 1930.
Dr. Lynn C. Hooker of Carthage, Texas sent her to nursing school at Hotel Dieu in Beaumont,Texas, where she graduated in 1942 and did private duty nursing until the age of 70. Violet married her childhood sweetheart, John Thomas Hull, in 1947. She is survived by her stepson, Dr. Sam Hull of Lake Forest, Illinois.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 2:00pm at the Gary Cemetery located at 176 Bobcat Trail, Gary, Texas 75643.
