

She is preceded in death by beloved husband of 31 years, Jimmy Castillo, children Adolfo Guel and Virginia Guel, daughter-in-law Eva Caballero Guel.
Survived by brother Jesse Diaz, children Alfred “Freddie” Guel, Vera Guel Garza (and husband Henry “Rico”), Alice Salazar (and husband Raymond), and David N. Guel (and wife Cecilia), 6 stepchildren, Gilbert Castillo (and wife Mary Nell), Eddie Castillo (and wife Frances), Rachel Aranda ( and husband Joe), Gloria Leija (and husband Joel), Ruth Ramos (and husband Joe), Andy Castillo (and wife Leticia),
Grandchildren Jonathan Guel (Beverly) and Ira Guel (Kim); Rod Garza (Christina), David Garza, Derek Garza (Kim) and Jennifer Engle (Chad); Sylvia Oliver (Brad), Alfred Ray Salazar (Kathy) and Rosemarie DeLeon (Benny); David Stephan Guel, Eric Guel (Brandi) and Deborah Guel; 29 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren and numerous step-great grandchildren.
Virginia Castillo is now rejoicing in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. On this earth she devoted her life to being a supportive, loving wife and mother/ grandmother who instilled in her children the knowledge of the love of God. A woman of prayer, she left a legacy of spiritual strength and dedicated service to God through her children, grandchildren, and those that she influenced and loved.
As Virginia Castillo entered into the gates of heaven, undoubtedly the Lord must have said, “…Well done, good and faithful servant: … enter thou into the joy of your Lord.” (Matthew 25:21)
