Virginia Mae Elkins, 82, of Humble, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
Virginia is survived by her children, Theresa, Suzanne, Patricia, and Mary and husband Brett; grandchildren, Justin, Alessandra, and Noah; her sister, Mary Louise; and her brothers, Edward Jr., Thomas, and Francis. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ossie, and her sister, Annamary.
Virginia enjoyed crafting and crocheting, creating many beautiful and thoughtful pieces. She also proudly served her community through her local MUD district for decades.
Virginia touched many lives throughout her years and especially cherished spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. She was beautiful inside and out, with a huge heart and a willingness to help anyone in need. Her kindness, generosity, and love will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Birthright Humble, Preborn or any other cancer research that is close to your heart.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 5, 2026, from 4:00–8:00 p.m. at American Heritage Funeral Home with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 pm.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2026, 11:00 am at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Humble, followed by committal service at Houston National Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
