Virginia Listi Grizzaffi

VIRGINIA LISTI GRIZZAFFI, 95, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2018 in her hometown of Houston, Texas. Virginia’s life was one of doing “small things with great love.” Her unwavering devotion was so evident in the decades of selfless care she quietly gave from her heart.

She is predeceased, in particular, by her husband, Anthony P. Grizzaffi and son-in-law, John A. Salvaggio. Virginia is survived by her children, Frank and Vivian Grizzaffi; Rosemary and Joe L. Carrabba; Marybess and Bernie Guzzetta; Mary Jo and Joe Montalbano; Sam Grizzaffi. Grandchildren, Ginger and Yance Montalbano; Madalyn Webster; Anthony and Bethany Grizzaffi; Angelo and Kristi Grizzaffi; Luke and Merida Carrabba; Monique and Joe L. Carrabba, Jr.; Anthony and Christine Carrabba; Mark Carrabba; Cathy and Jerry Birden; Virginia and Jason Manlove; John Salvaggio; Elizabeth and Chris Garcia; Vita and Andrew Dougherty; Michael Montalbano; Samantha Grizzaffi. Great-grandchildren, Ginny, Genna and Gia Montalbano; Alec and Ally Webster; Frank and Margaret Grizzaffi; Kaylee, Ella and AJ Grizzaffi; Cole, Clara, Bella and Tessa Carrabba; Joseph, Julianna and Tony Carrabba; Kamryn and Jacob Birden; Anthony and Adrianna Manlove; Nicholas Garcia; Marie, Robert and Oliver Dougherty. Sister, Rose Marie Mentesana; sister-in-law, Angelina Joslin. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family extends special thanks to the caring staff of Elmcroft of Braeswood and Encompass Hospice Care. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 22 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 8825 Kempwood Drive, Houston, Texas with Rev. Msgr. Dan Scheel presiding. Interment to follow at Forest Park Lawndale’s Garden of Gethsemani. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
