She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lopez; son, John Rene Lopez; brothers, Louis Garza, Lawrence Garza; and great-grandchild, Rhett.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sylvia Lopez, sons Edward Lopez and wife Karen; Ronald Lopez and wife Annette; grandchildren Amy, Amanda, Ashley, Mark, Ryan, and Haley; great-grandchildren Aiden, Connor, Weston, Owen, Austin, and brother Alec James.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm, with an interment to follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
The family would like to suggest that any contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in honor of Virginia in lieu of flowers.
