Virginia Lorene Wilson

Lorene Wilson went to see the Lord on April 9, 2023. She was born November 28, 1929 in Oaklandon, Indiana to Robert Cowles and Ova Edith Cowles. She was preceded in death by her son Michael Wayne Gibson of Houston, Texas; five brothers James Robert Cowles of Bedias, Texas; William Hughie Cowles Sr. of Houston, Texas; Wendell Cowles of Houston, Texas; Charles Eugene Cowles of Houston, Texas, Wayne Monroe Cowles of Concord, North Carolina; two grandsons Jeramy Michael Gibson of Norwich, New York, wife Nicole Gibson; Bret Mitchel Gibson of Houston, Texas; Stepson Michael Karch of Indianapolis, Indiana; one step grandson Travis Gerald Karch; two step great granddaughters Alexandra Pascocello and Dakota Gibson.

Lorene was an executive secretary at Dura-Containers, Inc. for 16 years. She graduated from Southport High School in 1948. Had a year and half of college. She received her letter in swimming from Milby High School in 1946/1947, Houston, Texas. She was one of five women who started the Contemporary Ladies Club of Fort Myers, Florida.

A funeral service for Virginia will be held Monday, April 17, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Cr, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095.

Burial will be in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, Fort Myers, Florida beside her late husband Gerald F. Karch.
